Richard Norling has over 40 years of experience in electoral campaigns and other political endeavors, at all levels from national to the very local.

Currently active and specializing in Maryland politics, Norling has previously been in campaigns on the ground in Ohio, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Wisconsin, New York and the District of Columbia -- and at all levels from Presidential to local county council races.

With degrees in mathematics and political science from Ohio State and Yale Universities, Norling is fully equipped to conduct quantitative analysis of electoral situations. He is expert in public opinion, voting behavior, electoral systems, convention delegate selection procedures, and effectiveness of different political campaign techniques.

Direct government experience includes eight years as a legislative assistant and subcommittee staff director in the U.S. House of Representatives, and service as a manager at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

Non-governmental political experience includes co-founding a national organization to assist progressive Congressional candidates, writing a package of state government reform legislation for Common Cause, serving as executive director of a national organization during a Democratic National Convention, and lobbying local and state legislative bodies.

Prior to starting Norling Research Corp., Norling founded Language Systems Corp., a small computer software publisher, and created seven commercial software products.
